These are my favorite free at-home workouts. Add them to your routine to get fit without a gym. I’ve tried each of these and, with consistency, they deliver real results.

During my get-fit challenge last year I committed to trying a variety of at-home workouts. I decided to focus on free options so I could test them before spending money. The result: several excellent programs that match or beat many paid workouts.
These routines are intense, challenging, and enjoyable. They’re some of the best free workouts I’ve found for losing weight (including stubborn belly fat) and building lean muscle.
When you stay consistent, you can see measurable improvement within weeks.
The most reliable way to stay consistent is to create a workout plan and commit to it. If you want guidance on building a plan, I have a post that explains how I structure mine.
Here’s how I structured a balanced weekly plan using these workouts:
Monday: Cardio
Tuesday: Barre / Pilates / Toning
Wednesday: Yoga / Stretching
Thursday: Cardio
Friday: Barre / Pilates / Toning
Saturday: Yoga / Stretching
Sunday: Active rest—walk, hike, or a light outing
For yoga days I used short morning sessions or targeted sequences for neck and shoulders to keep mobility and recovery on track.
Feel free to follow this plan or adapt it to your schedule and preferences.
