Makes about 2.5 tbsp blend

Ingredients  

  • 2 tbsp paprika, sweet + smoked, use more of one or the other based on heat preference. Smoky paprika is generally hotter.
  • 1/2 – 3/4 tsp cayenne
  • 1.5 tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • 1.5 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1.5 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tbsp dried oregano
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1.5 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp salt, (optional)
  • optional add ins for variation:, crushed bay leaf, 1/4 tsp ground mustard

Instructions 

  • Combine all the spices in a bowl and mix well. Transfer to an airtight container and store in a cool, dry place for up to 3 months.
