Recent Favorites: What I’m Loving Right Now

Hey! Happy Sunday! We’re away celebrating our two-year wedding anniversary, but I wanted to share a few things that have me excited this week.

Most importantly: it’s finally blueberry season here in Massachusetts. Today we’re stocking up at Quonquont Farm, hoping to pick enough berries to fill the chest freezer for the winter. Quonquont is extra meaningful for us — we were married there and even invited our wedding guests to pick blueberries after the ceremony — so this ritual always feels special.

I hope you get to spend time with people you love and enjoy the sweet, juicy fruits of summer.

This Week’s Favorites:

United By Blue tees and tanks. These pieces are 100% organic cotton, built to last, and for every purchase UBB removes one pound of trash from waterways. They’re soft, comfortable, and cute — I’m wearing one of their tank tops right now.

The “Fight Ignorance Not Immigrants” tee from Assist the Resistance. I have it in white and love that it’s printed on Alternative Apparel tees, which use sustainable materials and fair labor practices. I wear a medium and it fits perfectly after washing and drying.

This cherry pitter has made cherry season so much easier. It’s one of the few single-use gadgets in my kitchen, but I use it all the time and love it.

Ice cream — I’m obsessed. No-churn raspberry ripple, cherry coconut almond butter caramel, date-sweetened chocolate, one-ingredient banana, and molasses-cookie maple coffee ice cream sandwiches are all on heavy rotation right now. These lighter or no-churn options are ideal for summer.

Our classic Coleman tent: reliable, easy to set up, and it’s lasted for years. It’s been perfect for relaxed summer camping trips.

Coleman camp cots are great when an air mattress isn’t an option. We’ve used them for camping and as guest beds at home. They’re compact, foldable, and comfortable enough for a few nights’ sleep.

I’m keeping a bottle of strong sunscreen in our bags all summer. After a badly burned day at the beach last week, I’m never leaving the house without a thick layer again.

Salted dark chocolate date peanut butter cups are on my must-make list. They’re a fun take on classic peanut butter cups and sound like the perfect summer treat.

Salads are our go-to on hot days. Favorites I keep returning to include White Bean + Tortellini Pasta Salad with Lemon Basil Vinaigrette; Feta Pesto Pasta Salad with Arugula and Sun-Dried Tomatoes; Barley Salad with Grilled Eggplant, Feta & Mint; Strawberry Avocado Caprese Salad; and Summer Kale Salad with Spicy Granola. Light, fresh, and easy to make ahead.

I’ve been learning to draw cute little things — donuts, tacos, popsicles, rainbows, cacti — with a fun doodle instruction book. It’s an easy, relaxing creative exercise.

We recently took a waterproof wireless Bluetooth speaker kayaking and loved it. It’s an inexpensive way to add music to outdoor time, and we even found a good deal locally.

That’s it for now — see you Tuesday with a brand new recipe!

XO,

Chelsea
