Fun Halloween Treats That Are Easy To Make

Halloween is the perfect time for sweet, creative treats. These orange-and-black Rice Krispie pops are simple to assemble and deliver a festive look without a big mess. I use prepackaged Rice Krispie treats to save time and avoid melting marshmallows, but you can make homemade Krispie treats if you prefer.
The process is straightforward, making this an excellent family activity. Kids can help dip, drizzle and sprinkle, and you’ll be surprised how impressive the finished pops look with just a few easy steps. Serving them on sticks adds a playful touch that’s ideal for parties, dessert tables, or classroom events.

There’s plenty of room for customization when adding orange candy melts and sprinkles—try different drizzle patterns or sprinkle combinations to match your theme. Chilling the treats between steps helps the coating set cleanly and keeps the pops neat.

Make a batch or two for a party buffet—these treats are crowd-pleasers and easy to transport. Ready to celebrate? Here’s a simple recipe to get you started.

Halloween Krispie Treat Pops Recipe
Ingredients:
8-count package of prepackaged Rice Krispie Treats
12 oz. package black candy melts
1/2 cup orange candy melts
Black and orange sprinkles
Supplies
Baking sheet
Parchment paper
8 popsicle sticks
1 sandwich bag
Kitchen scissors
Instructions:
1) Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2) Insert a popsicle stick into the base of each Rice Krispie treat.
3) Place the treat pops on the baking sheet with space between each one.
4) Chill the treats in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes so the sticks set firmly.
5) Melt the black candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring between each until smooth.
6) Dip each chilled Rice Krispie treat into the melted black candy, or spoon the candy over the treat to fully coat. Let excess drip back into the bowl.
7) Return the coated treats to the parchment-lined baking sheet and chill again until the coating sets.
8) Put the orange candy melts into a sandwich bag and heat in 15-second increments in the microwave, squeezing the bag gently between intervals until melted.
9) Snip a tiny corner from the bag and drizzle the orange melts over the set black coating in a back-and-forth motion to create diagonal stripes.
10) Immediately sprinkle black and orange sprinkles over the pops so they stick before the drizzle firms up. Chill briefly if needed to finish setting.
